Description |
Crazy quilt made of silk and velvet. The pieces of material were originally part of the clothing of the John Adolphus Nelles family. The centre piece is the tie worn by John Adolphus Nelles when he attended a Ball, held in Hamilton, to honour the Prince of Wales in 1860, later King Edward VII. There are some worn and some torn pieces. |
